He started his political career as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member. His unwavering dedication to the party’s principles and his constituents led to his election as a Member of Parliament from the Tripura East constituency in 2019. This marked his entry into the National Democratic Alliance, further strengthening his position within the BJP.
He has been a strong advocate for the welfare and development of Tripura’s ethnic communities. His efforts to secure additional funds from the Union Finance Minister for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) underscore his commitment to the socio-economic development of marginalised communities.
