Offline mode cancelled, PIFF to be hosted online from Mar 18 to 25

"As informed earlier, about 26 films from the world cinema category shall be showcased in the online format of the film festival," said Dr Jabbar Patel, festival director, PIFF.

PIFF, organiSed by the Pune Film Foundation, is the official film festival of the Government of Maharashtra. Although PIFF is held in January every year, the 19th edition of the festival got pushed into March after the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) moved to this slot owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pune: Separate passes for online, theatre screenings to make PIFF costlier for film enthusiasts this year

This year, the organisers said, delegate passes can be purchased at Rs 600 each to attend film screenings in theatres, while a separate pass, costing Rs 500 per head, will have to be obtained for online screenings.
