Bedi and Home Ministry had challenged the verdict of the Madras High Court delivered on May 8 that the Lt Governor could not interfere in the day-to-day activities of the elected government in the Union Territory.

Tirunelveli, Jan 08 (ANI): At least 10 people died and more than 15 others were injured after a bus turned turtle in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu on Friday. The bus had started its journey from Puducherry and was headed to Kerala when it met with the accident. Rescue team and police reached the spot as soon as they learnt about the incident and rushed injured people to a nearby hospital.
