Describing elections to 17th Lok Sabha as a 'once-in-a-century moment', President Kovind urged people to cast their votes and stated that decisions and actions of today will shape the India of the remainder of the 21st century.
President Ram Nath Kovind, in his address on the eve of 70th Republic Day, said that 2019 elections are a crucial moment for the country. While urging people to vote in large numbers, he said that the "decisions and actions of today, will shape the India of the rest of 21st century".
A bench of Justices S Muralidhar and Sanjeev Narula issued a notice to the Ministry of Defence, Chief of the Army Staff, Commandant of the President's Bodyguard and Director, Army Recruitment, on the petition.
He is the fifth Indian President to visit the central European country, and the first since President Shankar Dayal Sharma in 1996, the President's Secretariat said. Kovind earlier visited the Czech Republic in his capacity as a Member of Parliament.
President Ram Nath Kovind expressed confidence that the graduating cadets would prove worthy successors to the "unflinching and fearless officers" who have preceded them. He also advised the cadets to draw courage from the NDA motto of 'Seva Paramo Dharma' as these three words should be their personal code of ethics.
