According to the draft, the bill is meant for the protection, preservation and restoration of the glory of ‘Shri Ram Janamsthan’, an ancient monument of great national importance, by construction of the grand temple of Ram at the place of his birth, Togadia said.
Claiming that the time for the construction of Ram temple was drawing closer, VHP’s new working president Alok Kumar said, “Either the court will decide... Otherwise, if felt needed, will get a law made for this purpose.”
In a press conference at VHP office at Tapovan in Nasik. Togadia raised concern about the recent data released on Tuesday, August 2015 by the registrar general and census commissioner about declining number of Hindu population and increasing number of Muslim population.
