Bengaluru, Feb 23 (ANI): Passengers' safety and better facilities topped the list of demands of commuters awaiting the second Rail Budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government to be presented on Thursday. Women passengers travelling alone are worried about rising incidents of sexual assaults in trains. They demanded installation of more closed circuit television cameras and deployment of railway protection force in trains. The commuters are also fed up with lack of cleanliness in trains, especially in compartments used by poor. Last year, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu did not introduce any new trains, but augmented the services of several trains.

Lucknow, Feb 18 (ANI): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has done nothing for Dalits in Uttar Pradesh and added that the latter is of the view that their plight would drastically change for the better if the Congress Party joins hands with them. Targetting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he said both wanted to suppress the poor and the downtrodden sections of society.Before reaching the venue of the event he was to address, BJP activists greeted the Congress vice president with black flags.
