Known for her good looks and an admirable voice, Pooja Sharma is one of the ravishing faces on television today. The 27-year-old model turned actress has always been interested in acting and is well-known for her role as 'Draupadi' in the leading mythological T.V. show, Mahabharat on Star Plus. While young in college, she was selected for a talk show in Doordarshan from where she later got an opportunity to give an anchoring audition for ZoomTV. After anchoring, she switched to modelling and was among the top 10 finalists in Femina Miss India 2006. The Delhi girl made her acting debut in the T.V. show, Teri Meri Love Stories on Star Plus opposite Karan Kundra and had also appeared on Zee TV'S leading show, Pavitra Rishta as Samaira. But she only got her break when she got selected for the leading role of 'Draupadi'. Finally, she got her much-deserved fame and also won an award at the Star Parivaar Awards in 2014.
Pooja Sharma and her director husband Pushkar Pandit are blessed with a baby girl on August 16. Pooja and Pushkar met on the sets of television show Tu Mera Hero. Talking to indianexpress.com, Pushkar said, “It’s like a dream for us till now. Both mother and daughter are doing good.”
