The protest was organised by Pension Parishad, and on Monday, a “jan manch” will be set up to address the issues at Jantar Mantar. From Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu came a train full of 1,200-plus protesters, and eight buses from Rajsamand in Rajasthan.
Based on their experiences and skills they would contribute towards the cause of nation-building and in "this way, the government will receive a total workforce of 13.50 crore man days per year and the money saved from this would roughly amount to Rs 20,250 crore," he said.
Advocate Pardeep Kumar Rapria, who represents the complainant in the case, said the government has maintained silence about the similar instances in other districts in an “attempt to save other officers who could face similar charges of embezzlement.”
The bank said it was unable to allow the withdrawal of Rs 1,500 as pension because the amount "has not been credited" by the state government. "How can we disburse pension when it has not been credited (by the state government)," said Raghav Gupta, Deputy Manager, SBI Gurusar branch.
