The Delhi poll body received a complaint about the Congress party workers getting forms filled across the city for the Nyay scheme, which is part of the party's Lok Sabha election manifesto, they said.
New Delhi, Jan 11 (ANI): Supporting the West Bengal Government for sending back the three-member fact-finding committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the violence-hit area in Kaliachak, the Congress Party on Monday said the state government has rightly done so in order to maintain peace. Congress leader P.L. Punia said that if a political party tries to intervene and create chaos, then it is the responsibility of the state government to send them back. Echoing similar sentiments, Congress leader P.C. Chacko said that the BJP has already got facts about the Malda rampage, but they formed the committee, which showed their confusion. Chacko also added that the state government had failed in the matter and said that it was the responsibility of the state government to control such incidents.
New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Congress leader PC Chacko disagreed with Manish Tewari's statement saying that there was no such troop movement, without information of the government. He added that such statements are creating unnecessary controversies. Echoing similar sentiments, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said the statement given by Manish Tewari is baseless and irrelevant. He stated that during the Raisina Hill incident, Tewari was neither a member of the cabinet committee on security nor any of relevant decision making body.
