Kejriwal politicizing soldiers' sacrifices: BJP

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nalin Kohli questioned the integrity of Aam Admi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his statement promising rupees one crore to the Pathankot attack martyr’s family provided they came to power in Punjab. He accused the AAP of reducing the supreme sacrifice of the Army men to ‘votes and politics’. Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi on the other hand extended support towards Kejriwal and said that he did nothing wrong by raising such a statement. He said it was common during the elections for politicians to voice such sentiments.

Not two, but eight columns of army were in Pathankot: Army Chief

New Delhi, Jan 13 (ANI): Army Chief General Dalbir Singh on Wednesday said that there were some media reports that only two columns of the army were deployed in Pathankot area which was wrong, as there were eight Army teams which were deployed. He also said that he had given three directions to commander; security of assets, containment of the contact and maintenance of a strong cordon. He further stated that National Security Guard (NSG) is the best force to deal with hostage situation and that is why one team was deployed to handle the Pathankot issue.

Pakistani nationals condemn Pathankot terror attack

Chakhan-Da-Bagh (Poonch), Jan 13 (ANI): Pakistani nationals condemned the recent Pathankot terror attack saying the attack was abhorrent. They are of the view Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be taking steps to control terrorism and bring justice to the Pathankot martyrs. They said that they wanted the two nations to live in peace and harmony. The residents also believe that Nawaz Sharif’s course of action regarding the Pathankot terror attack would help in improving the relations between the two nations.
