Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins burst on to the Test scene as a 19-year-old in 2011 when he took six wickets for 79 runs in Johannesburg in the second innings against South Africa. His victims included Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers. But he had to wait a long time before he got his next Test cap for his country and that came in 2017 in India. In that time, Cummins made a name for himself in the limited overs setup. Since his return to the Test team, though, he has become something of a spearhead for Australia whenever Mitchell Starc is unable to compete and has seldom disappointed. Cummins is also part of that rare breed of fast bowlers who are equally adept on the field. Cummins had played for the Delhi Daredevils and has got a total of 27 wickets so far. While he was there in the 2014 and 2016 seasons, it was in 2017 that he made a splash, taking 17 wickets. His performances did not translate into wins for Delhi though, in what was another underwhelming season for the capital franchise. This season, he will be joining the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya in the Mumbai Indians' pace battery.
