Alert driver avoids mishap after Bangalore-Chennai bus catches fire

The mishap was avoided after the driver stopped the bus immediately after the fire was pointed out by drivers of other vehicles. All passengers were evacuated immediately making everyone safe from the untoward incident.

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Taking a jibe at the ruling NDA Government, Former Railway Minister and Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday said, “Let us see what the government is going to give, whether the people are going to get the bullet trains or not.” He added, “In the President’s speech, they said high-speed trains from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. So, what is the exact budget provision for that and whether the bullet train is going to help the poor people and is it affordable to the passengers we will see to that.”

Bengaluru, Feb 23 (ANI): Passengers' safety and better facilities topped the list of demands of commuters awaiting the second Rail Budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government to be presented on Thursday. Women passengers travelling alone are worried about rising incidents of sexual assaults in trains. They demanded installation of more closed circuit television cameras and deployment of railway protection force in trains. The commuters are also fed up with lack of cleanliness in trains, especially in compartments used by poor. Last year, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu did not introduce any new trains, but augmented the services of several trains.

Trivandrum, Jan 09 (ANI): Minister of State (MoS) for Culture and Tourism and Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma on Saturday said that he was not yet informed of the situation on Air India flight delay issue. Passengers of an Air India plane in Delhi were delayed for several hours on Friday allegedly because the airline was eager to help out a BJP minister and two judges on another flight.
