New Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): Talking to mediapersons before the Budget session, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday put onus on Congress, saying that issues like 'anti-national' activities in JNU and Jat quota have existed during the tenure of Congress and the BJP-led NDA government inherited these problems from Congress. Naidu added that there is no question of closing JNU, but 'anti-national' activities will not be tolerated. He added that the government is ready to discuss all the problems.

Budget Session: Naidu says ready to discuss all issues

New Delhi, Feb 22 (ANI): Briefing the media after the all-party meet, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday said today's meeting helped to build consensus to make parliament function smoothly. He added that some people wanted to discuss governor's issue, agriculture crisis, Jat reservation whereas some people suggested the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to be the top priority. He cleared the air by saying that they are ready to discuss all the burning issues.

New Delhi/Mumbai, Feb 17 (ANI): Condemning the protests in Jadavpur University, Kolkata, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Wednesday said strict actions should be taken against people involved in anti-national activities but sedition charges should not be put against them as it fulfils their aspirations of gaining popularity. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Memon also condemned the protests in educational institutions. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi emphasised on the need for the Jadavpur University students to come forward and identify the anti-social elements prevalent in the campus.

New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Lashing out at the NDA Government and Delhi Police, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) general secretary Tariq Anwar said the present BJP-led NDA Government is bothering the university students without any prior investigation. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said all parties should stand up together against the anti-national elements responsible for the recent Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) issue.
