When Chandigarh Newsline went to survey these washrooms, the ground floor washrooms were locked. Large common dustbins were placed outside the female washrooms, however, there were no dustbins inside.

Chandigarh: IN UIET, less than 30 per cent placements from biotechnology, mechanical branches

Started in 2002, UIET is the largest department of PU and is serving six undergraduate and eight postgraduate programmes. Among the six UG programmes, CSE has 110 seats, IT has 110 seats, EEE has 120 seats and in other three branches of the department, the number of seats in each branch is 90.

Ahead of Panjab University syndicate, students, senate members disapprove proposed fee hike

A committee, last month, had approved a 10 per cent hike in fee for new entrants and 5 per cent for existing students from 2019-20 academic session. Talking to Chandigarh Newsline, PU senator Subhash Sharma said that the syndicate should not give its nod when they discuss the matter

Panjab University Syndicate to decide on shoring up admission norms

A six-member academic and administrative committee had met on January 24 and proposed the introduction of PU-CET for admission to Master of Social work from the 2019-20 academic session. The committee clarified that admission will be through a qualifying PU-CET.

Panjab University reschedules entrance exams

Panjab University entrance exam: The online applications for the common entrance exams will begin from April 5, 2019 and for five-year integrated law courses it wil commence on April 15, 2019. Admission to MDS courses is already on.
