Maharashtra to use Nirbhaya fund for new DNA analysis facilities, dedicated units for crimes against women & children

As part of the same initiative, three regional forensic laboratories in Maharashtra will get dedicated DNA analysis units to investigate cases of crimes against women and children, state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Wednesday.

Law and parliamentary affairs minister JC Madhuswamy said, “each CCTV camera will have a safety light and a panic button which will emit a loud siren when it is pressed. The Bengaluru city police will be identifying the spots to install CCTV cameras.”
