Education Minister launches NCERT curriculum-based comic books for Classes 3 to 12

The books are created by the teachers of CBSE-affiliated schools and have been designed by NCERT based on its curriculum. The aim of this initiative is to increase the social and cultural sensitivity among children through teaching.

Some of the other recommendations included — removing English, Urdu and Arabic words, a couplet by Mirza Ghalib; extracts from painter M F Hussain’s autobiography; references to the Mughal emperors as benevolent, to the BJP as a “Hindu” party, and to the National Conference as “secular” among others.
