A recent report released by the firm Clarivate Analytics shows that only 10 Indians figure among the world's top 4,000 highly-cited researchers (HCR), with only one woman from India featuring in the list topped by the US.
In a virtual clean chit to former CEO Vishal Sikka, the board of Infosys, led by chairman Nandan Nilekani, said it has found no wrongdoing in the acquisition of Israeli company Panaya under the leadership of Sikka.
The Board, which has been at the centre of criticism for non governance by Narayana Murthy, in a statement on Friday said "Mr. Murthy's continuous assault is the primary reason that the CEO, Dr. Vishal Sikka, has resigned despite strong Board support’’.
