Nama Nageswara Rao, born on March 15, 1957, hails from Balapala, Mahabubabad, Telangana. An Indian politician and a member of the 15th Lok Sabha, Nageswara Rao has significantly impacted Telangana’s political landscape.
Before entering the Lok Sabha, Nageswara Rao was at the helm of the infrastructure company Madhucon Projects. His wealth during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections was staggering, with total assets exceeding ₹1.73 billion (approximately $38.4 million). In the same year, he secured victory, defeating the incumbent Renuka Chowdary by over 124,000 votes in the Khammam constituency.
Nageswara Rao’s political journey exemplifies resilience. Despite losing the 2004 elections to Renuka Chowdary, he persisted. In May 2009, he clinched victory, representing the Khammam constituency with a substantial majority. His unanimous election as the Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader further solidified his position.
Beyond politics, Nageswara Rao’s family plays a crucial role. He is married to Nama Chinnamma and has two sons and a daughter. His daughter, K. Keerthi Reddy, made her mark as an entrepreneur and was listed in the prestigious Forbes India 30 under-30 list in 2021.
Nageswara Rao’s commitment to public service continues to resonate, making him a prominent figure in Telangana’s socio-political fabric.
