BMC to slap ₹20,000 fine for construction debris in Mumbai, tightens rules on public spitting and littering

According to BMC's new bylaws, people will be fined up to Rs 500 for littering, urinating, defecating, washing vehicles or feeding animals and birds in public, and Rs 300 for bathing and washing of utensils in the open.
