Murthal gangrapes: Naqvi for stringent action against accused

Mumbai, Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday said the gangrapes, which took place during the Jat agitation in Murthal is highly condemnable, adding that stringent action must be taken against the accused. Congress leader Shobha Oza accused the Haryana Government and police of attempting to cover up the incident. She said this attitude reflects the incapability of the government. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majeed Memon echoing similar sentiments said that such cases are a disgrace to the country. He added it is the obligation of the police to maintain law and order and if such has happened then they must be held accountable
Opposition need not behave as security expert: Naqvi

Ranchi, Jan 12 (ANI): Minister of State (MoS) for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday advised the Opposition of not behaving like an international expert on security matters. He added that those who have the duty of looking after national security are capable of doing so. Naqvi further said that security agencies and the government would take the right steps to look into national security matters.
