Delhi: 3-hour search by cops after woman mails UK PM Boris Johnson about suicide

Police said she sent the mail at 11 pm. “I am distressed... If somebody doesn’t come to help me, I will commit suicide in the next 2 hours,” read the mail, in which the woman had also written her address and phone number.

No permit was given to Pak High Commission to visit Chennai event: MEA

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Thursday said that the Ministry of External Affairs had informed the Pakistan High Commission on February 12 that High Commissioner, his wife and one official could go to Chennai in the program of February 22. He added that the organisers were wrongly informed that Ministry of External Affairs did not permit the Pakistan High Commissioner to go to Chennai event.

India, France to discuss counter terrorism mechanism

New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): Confirming that the Indian Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif was indeed the target of a terrorist strike, the Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Thursday said the reports received from the Afghan authorities on January 6 indicate that the armed terrorists attacked with heavy ammunition. Swarup also said it lasted till the night of January 4 when the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) were able to eliminate the four terrorists, who had been holed up in a building near the Consulate.
