The 20th Jio Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) Mumbai Film Festival started on Thursday night. The festival, which will continue till November 1, honoured the iconic filmmaker Shyam Benegal with the Excellence In Cinema Award.

The 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival came to a close on Thursday, (November 5) in Mumbai. The ceremony was a star-studded affair with celebrities including Vidya Balan, Salman Khan and Kiran Rao among others. Also seen was Nita and Mukesh Ambani's daughter, Isha. The festival was held from October 29 to November 5, screening over 200 films from 58 countries across the world.
Bollywood's A list celebs including Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Vidya Balan, Abhishek Bachchan, Irrfan Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Anil Kapoor and a host of other celebs walked the red carpet at the opening of 17th Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI) in Mumbai held at the historic Gateway of India. Nita Ambani and Kiran Rao were the perfect hosts for the glittering evening. <br /><br /> The eight-day festival, organised by Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) with Reliance Jio Infocomm (RJIL) and Star India, was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
