Addressing mediapersons, Chirag Paswan, LJP’s central Parliamentary board chairman, also said that he cannot understand why Kushwaha was upset when all coalition leaders were holding discussions comfortably.
"There is no reason now to go ahead with the bandh and protest the Supreme Court verdict given that the government has decided to bring an amendment," LJP leader and Lok Sabha MP Chirag Paswan said on Friday.
In a veiled threat, the LJP said that its support to the BJP is issue based, and that the patience of many within the LJP is running thin as circumstances raising concerns of the Dalits and tribals have emerged of late.
The combination of OBC and Dalit votes in favour of the SP-BSP alliance had significantly hurt the BJP in Gorakhpur and Noorpur. Further, the proximity between the SP and the BSP appears to be growing and their alliance is likely to continue in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Lamenting the PhD student's death case, Paswan added that LJP stands by the deceased student's family.
