Sengar was sentenced to life imprisonment till the remainder of his biological life by a Delhi court last month. The court had found Sengar guilty of raping a minor girl in Unnao in 2017

The court had on Monday found Sengar guilty of rape, and under Sections 5(c) and 6 of POCSO Act. His co-accused, Shashi Singh, was acquitted after the court granted him benefit of doubt.
