The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the then Karnataka Assembly Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar’s decision disqualifying 17 MLAs. However, the Apex Court has allowed them to contest polls, striking down the provision fixing a time period for which they will remain disqualified.
