Waiting for 40 years for the compensation against the land acquired by the Haryana government,hope finally floated for Hisar resident Maman Singh on Saturday after the Punjab and Haryana High Court slammed the state authorities and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on them.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday referred a crucial legal query,over whether state governments are empowered to constitute high powered committees to decide disputes of land acquisition cases under the Land Acquisition Act,to a Full Bench (Bench comprising of three or more High Court Judges).
