JEE Advanced 2026

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026, is likely to be conducted by IIT Roorkee, will serve as the gateway for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). JEE Advanced will be held in the computer-based format with two mandatory papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2 — each of three hours duration, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Those who qualify JEE Main, top 2.5 lakh rank holders, are allowed to appear for JEE Advanced.

Although the official notification is yet to be released, the exam is likely to be held in May 2026, with probable dates being May 14, May 21, or the last Sunday of May, based on past patterns. The registration process is expected to begin in April or early May 2026, and admit cards will be available a week before the exam. To be eligible, candidates must rank among the top 2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1, and should have appeared for Class 12 in 2025 or 2026. The age limit requires General category candidates to be born on or after October 1, 2001, with a five-year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Results are likely to be declared in early to mid-June 2026. Aspirants are advised to monitor the official portal, jeeadv.ac.in, and begin preparing with a clear revision strategy aligned to the May exam window.
