The idea, the organisers said, is to “eradicate superstitious beliefs among people and educate them about the Constitution, consumer laws, criminal laws, judicial procedures, municipal laws, RTI Act, among others.
Addressing a press conference in Gandhinagar after the meeting, Patel said, "We have come to the leader of opposition with a demand that in the next session of the state legislative assembly, they should bring a bill for quota."
In his application, Hardik also mentioned about the deteriorating condition of farmers in Gujarat while holding BJP, which has been in power for the past 25 years, and its policies responsible for the same.
As per the chargesheet, Hardik and his aides were allegedly involved in inciting the Patel community youths to resort to violence to put undue pressure on the government to accept their demand of reservation to their community under the OBC category.

Surat, Jan 21 (ANI): Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader Hardik Patel was taken to the Surat district court early today. Hardik’s advocate Jaswant Wada said that Hardik had written a letter to the people stating the solution lies with the government and if the Patel community stood at a disadvantage, then he would continue the agitation against the Gujarat Government. Surat police had earlier submitted a 44-page chargesheet against Hardik in a case related to blockade of highway near Kamrej last year.
