Karzai expressed disappointment that a scheduled gathering for Afghan-to-Afghan talks in Qatar was postponed indefinitely after a falling out over who should attend. It would have marked the first time that Taliban and Kabul government officials sat together.
Afghan student Ismatullah Amiri, a student of BSc Agriculture welcomed the former president and assured him on behalf of his fellow students that their great experience at PAU will help make the country agriculturally independent and advanced.
"We do support President Trump's statement on Pakistan's use of extremism and we hope that they will take action, that they will walk the talk this time," said former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai.
"There is no case against Hafiz Saeed sahib in Pakistan. Only when there is a case can there be action," the prime minister said when asked why there was no action against Saeed. The JuD chief was released from house arrest in Pakistan in November.
