The IMD has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain in several Gujarat districts, including Saurashtra and Kutch, due to a depression over the Arabian Sea. Widespread rainfall is expected across the state over the next 36 hours.

On Tuesday, Talala in Gir Somnath recorded 43 mm (1.69 inch) followed by Veraval 42 mm and Sutrapada 42 mm.
