A woman had lodged an FIR with Gautam Palli police station in Allahabad that Prajapati and his accomplice had raped her for years after promising her a mining license and they were trying to target her daughter.
The victim had alleged she was repeatedly raped by the accused on the pretext of allotting a mining license and when the accused cast evil eyes on her daughter, she had to lodge case. An FIR was registered on February 18, 2017 after the Supreme Court’s intervention.
"No action could be taken against Gayatri in the previous Akhilesh Yadav regime, FIR was registered against him only after the SC directed erstwhile SP government to do so," BJP spokesman said. He advised Mulayam to "chant Gayatri mantra" instead of defending the tainted Gayatri.
Prajapati was arrested after an FIR was registered in Lucknow on the Supreme Court directive. The complainant had alleged that she was repeatedly raped by the accused. She had alleged that Prajapati had also tried to molest her daughter.
The demolition comes two days after the Allahabad High Court directed the Uttar Pradesh government to file a report on June 19 on the issue of an illegal construction in the city allegedly by former minister Gayatri Prajapati in connivance with some LDA officials.
