Panaji (Goa), Jan 15 (ANI): Goa's Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has informed the state assembly that he has asked the police to give him a report in connection with the recent death of an American tourist who was allegedly chased by villagers in Pernem Taluka. Leader of Opposition Pratapsingh Rane said if foreign tourists like Caitan Vholte are killed in a tourist state like Goa, then tourists would stop visiting. The 30-year-old American tourist died after falling in a paddy field in Korgao village in Pernem. Villagers suspected him to be a thief.
