Fake notes of denominations Rs 100, Rs 200, Rs 500, and Rs 2,000 were seized from the accused identified as Syed Ansar (27) of Latur, Maharashtra and Shaik Imran (33) of Vattepally, Hyderabad.

On examination of his baggage, the officers found 349 notes of Rs 2,000 having face value of Rs 6.98 lakhs. Follow-up operations were conducted at his residence in Bengaluru that resulted in the recovery of another Rs 58,000 in fake notes.
