The right way to dispose e-waste is by dismantling the item and shredding it. Experts have a mechanism to concentrate, shred and treat e-waste responsibly, not allowing harmful chemicals from coming into contact with the environment.

These pop-up kiosks will be stationed at prominent locations, making it convenient for residents to drop off not just e-waste but also old clothes, toys, books and household items among others that they wish to discard. This will then be recycled and reused.

The meetings involved conferences of the parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions and were held in Geneva between April 29 and May 10 on the theme 'Clean Planet, Healthy People: Sound Management of Chemicals and Waste'. Over 180 countries participated in the meetings.
