Postmortem house in-charge Dr Bipin Kumar said the bones and the skull could belong to unclaimed bodies. "At times, unclaimed bodies are buried or cremated after post mortem. The skull and bones could be from past such cases," he said.
While underlining loss of lives in various parts of the country in recent times, including of over 100 children in Bihar, the commission in its notice has also directed its teams comprising doctors, officers to visit hospitals in "vulnerable" states to conduct fact-finding probe.
In the last two days, 16 new cases of AES and three deaths were reported from Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College, the largest in the district. However, the hospital and district health officials are claiming that the situation is much better than the previous years.
