Haryana State Pollution Control Board Thursday issued an advisory to all the Deputy Commissioners and Municipal Commissioners of NCR Districts of Haryana to ensure frequent sprinkling of water to settle down the dust.
Thunderstorm alert HIGHLIGHTS: The Met department released an advisory saying thunderstorm with gusty winds are “very likely” in parts of Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
UP: Adityanath also distributed cheques to people affected by the storm in Agra's Fatehabad and said, "Relief has been provided to the affected. Kin of those who died have been given Rs 4 lakhs as ex-gratia and the injured are given free treatment in hospitals."
This dust storm was the second which hit the national capital and the adjoining region in last four days. Incidents of power cuts, fallen tress, fallen poles were reported from few parts of the national capital.
On Monday, the IMD issued an amber-coloured alert, signifying the level of caution, that is needed. There are four types of colour codes: green (no action), yellow (situation to be watched), amber (government agencies to be prepared for severe weather) and red (action needed).
