Back from his two-week trip to South Africa,Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh,on Monday,lashed out at the ruling Badal family for forgetting governance and being busy with foreign trips.
Paddy crop of Dilip Singh,a farmer from Roomawali village who owns not more than an acre of land,was damaged due to flooding,last year,while this year,lack of water is the reason for complete damage of paddy.

Patna, Feb 08 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday interacted with people and heard their grievances at his ‘Janata Darbar’. Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav also attended the event and interacted with the people. Speaking at the event, Tejashwi said people of Bihar chose their party to serve them and this platform will help the Government in solving their problems in presence of many senior officials. He added that soon a law would be brought in the state where the officers who don’t solve the case in a time-bound manner will be fined.
New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): After meeting Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said there was no failure on part of the local police in the recent Pathankot terror attack, and asked people to stop critisising the national forces. Talking about the ongoing investigation, Badal said both the state government and National investigating agency (NIA) are investigating every aspect and soon the culprit will be punished. Badal said there is a need to increase BSF deployment in Punjab along the border with Pakistan.
