The Public Works Development has decided to start the Butterfly Zone project from road number 59 at Old Wazirabad in North Delhi, road number 58 at Surajmal Vihar in East Delhi and Nelson Mandela road in South Delhi.

Police said that the incident took place around 8.50 pm at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur flyover. The family were returning home from Holi celebrations when the car, a Tata Nexon, hit the autorickshaw and its occupants fled the spot. The car hit another vehicle as well.

Officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) said that when there is a leakage in a pipeline under the road, it leads to erosion of the earth below. The crust can only handle it for some time, but eventually, it gives way and caves in.
