Cricket World Cup
Rohit Sharma-led Team India will face the Australian Cricket Team in the final of the 2023 Cricket World Cup on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Australians are five-time ICC World Cup champions, whereas the Indian Cricket Team has claimed the title twice, in 1983 and in 2011.
The Indian team entered the final after going unbeaten in the group stage with nine wins in nine matches. Then in the semi-finals, India defeated New Zealand by 70 runs. In the other semi-final, Australia edged past South Africa by three wickets.

Like the men in the 1983 squad, the women in the 2025 team come from all corners of India. This diversity, fighting spirit and assertive body language are lovely to see. But the “zidd” they displayed is very Indian, very 1983. They wanted to show that you can't give up on Indian women.
