Ian Botham, now an honorary president of Durham, lambasted his former county side Somerset for “reducing the game to a farce” as he unleashed a social media tirade after 35 wickets fell across only five sessions in the match.

Chahal enjoyed a profitable yield last season too, wherein he snared 19 wickets from four games, including his career best red-ball figures of 9/99.
