"Congress-NCP called us 'B team' of BJP during Lok Sabha polls. So, they should first clarify what is our status now. The talk of alliance can happen after that," Prakash Ambedkar said regarding an offer to form an anti-BJP coalition in the state.
Ranjitsinh, who was a Rajya Sabha member of the NCP, joined the BJP in presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This comes a week after Sujay Vikhe Patil, the son of Maharashtra Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, joined the BJP.
Asked whether the Shiv Sena, the bickering ally of the ruling BJP, would be a part of the Congress-NCP alliance in future, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sunil Tatkare said he saw no such possibility.
