The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is organising a customised vigilance related training programme at the International Anti Corruption Academy (IACA), Vienna, Austria from June 3 to 14, they said citing an official order.
Justice Patnaik told The Indian Express: “There was no evidence against Verma regarding corruption. The entire enquiry was held on Asthana’s complaint. I have said in my report that none of the findings in the CVC’s report are mine.”
CVC report analyses 100 major frauds on public sector banks, committed by borrowers from 13 sectors. Among them, an aviation firm that got loans based on its brand name in spite of a poor credit rating; and jewellers who allegedly inflated value of diamonds and submitted fake details on debtors.
