"The audit is under progress and the report is yet to be finalised. The information cannot be given under Section 8(1)(C) of the RTI Act as the disclosure would cause breach of Parliament," the CAG said.
Congress also alleged that in a classic case of blatant 'crony capitalism', private entity Reliance Defence was deliberately enriched by award of a Rs 30,000- crore offset contract at the cost of PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited by Modi government.
The CAG report also pointed out the ‘admitted debits’ by staffers, such as some booking clerks who did not deposit the collected fare amounts with authorities, as well as the administration’s failure to recover them.
The CAG expressed concern over the environmental issues associated with the fishing activity, in the wake of the United Nations' sustainable development goals, envisaged to save the marine life from unregulated or destructive fishing activities.
