The action follows a meeting held by the Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate B N Singh, who took cognizance of a report - identifying 30 builders who sold over five flats in the last five years - by the Stamp Duty Department.
Deputy Commissioner, Solan, K C Chaman said, “The state government has also announced ex-gratia relief of Rs four lakh to the family members of each victim that died in the tragedy, Rs 15,000 to the grievously injured persons and Rs 5,000 to other injured.”
The BBMP along with National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) will study all vulnerable flooding areas in the city. The list of vulnerable points will be prepared which will help the civic authorities to act on time during such incidents.
