The Indian Express talks to Punjab Local Bodies Minister Brahm Mohindra and asks him about his department’s plans to tackle contamination of water bodies and waterlogging after heavy rains in the state.
Mohinder said that strict instructions have been issued to ensure that stagnant rain water is pumped out from the affected areas. All cities in state will soon be covered under storm water sewage system, he added.
Brahm Mohindra, Minister of Health and Parliamentary Affairs, who is heading the sub-committee constituted to examine all aspects of the regularisation policy, has already asked for the report from the government officer’s panel.
