In the Baramullah attack, Mohammad Ashraf Mir and his wife Saleema were seriously injured. Both were taken to hospital, however, Mir succumbed to his injuries and wife Saleema was referred to Srinagar.
Two AK assault rifles, three AK magazines, 90 AK rounds, one INSAS rifle, one INSAS magazine, 13 INSAS rounds and other items were seized from the encounter site, the police spokesperson said. He said the two militants were involved in many "anti-national and anti-social activities".
The encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district ended with one terrorist being killed. Arms and ammunition was also recovered from the site, reports ANI. Encounter broke out during wee hours on Tuesday and initially it was believed that two terrorists were hiding in Haritar Tarzoo area of the district.
