Two people, including the person who sold the liquor, have been arrested and five policemen have been suspended in the case. Teams have been formed to nab the main supplier, police said. Four persons are undergoing treatment at KGMU trauma centre in Lucknow.
An FIR was lodged at Dewa police station against Madan Lal, who owns a licensed liquor shop, as as well as against on Ram Naresh on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and sale of noxious food or drink.
The accident took place when the Delhi-bound train rammed the truck, which was passing through Bindaura crossing at 9.15 am. The truck was completely damaged while the train’s engine derailed in the collision.
