The world-class arena in the Kempegowda International Airport premises, according to the current plans, will have the capacity to accommodate up to 9,000 people and be capable of hosting a wide range of events such as music concerts, award shows, exhibitions, and conventions apart from weddings.
In a letter to the airport authorities, the ADG asked how the passengers manage to proceed without getting frisked and sought to know if any action was taken against the CISF personnel and the officers on duty.
The main access road, which is at present four lanes wide (two on each side) will be expanded to a 10-lane road (five on each side), according to Bengaluru International Airport officials. As part of the widening work, the 1.4 kilometre-long access road will be closed from June 10 for expansion as part of the ongoing infrastructure development.
