On Saturday evening, the Unnao district administration had exhumed the body of Yunus, who was buried on August 18, amid protests by his family and some local residents who claimed it was against Sharia law.
On Thursday, the woman was found dead inside the bathroom of Holiday Inn at Mayur Vihar. Police said she and her 20-year-old boyfriend had checked into the hotel, but he left soon after claiming his father was ill.
Himanshu Bharadwaj regained consciousness and his all vitals are found to be stable, he said, adding that Bharadwaj was again referred to Nagpur for better treatment. Alleging medical negligence, Bharadwaj's relative Santosh Rajput demanded a stern action against the doctors concerned.
“First we got a call that she was unwell and critical. Minutes later, another call came saying she was dead. When we reached there, all we saw was blood on bedsheets, quilt, clothes of my daughter, cotton and other pieces of cloth,” said the father.
“There is no record of any Manjeet Kaur in my clinic for the past many months. If her family can give us the card, I can find out as to when she last visited me. So far, as per my knowledge she did not visit my clinic,” said Dr Hari Singh.
