Arvind Kejriwal is the National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister of Union Territory of Delhi. He was also a member of the India Against Corruption campaign led by Anna Hazare against the growing corruption in the country. Kejriwal went forward and formed his own political party after an unsuccessful attempt at bringing the Jan Lokpal Bill through the IAC campaign in 2012. A graduate from IIT Kharagpur, Kejriwal is a mechanical engineer by profession and also worked as a joint commissioner of Income Tax Department. He is also a Magsaysay award winner for his work on the grassroots through his organisation Parivartan. Kejiwal was first elected as the Delhi Chief Minister in 2012 but resigned after 49 days claiming that he was unable to bring the Jan Lokpal Bill he had promised because his party did not enjoy a full majority in the house. His party later won 67 out of 70 seats during the 2015 assembly elections.
